Charles I of the United Kingdom (19 November 1600-30 January 1649) was King of the United Kingdom from 27 March 1625 until his execution. King Charles engaged in a struggle of power with Oliver Cromwell and Parilament. Charles supported the Divine Rights of Kings, a theory claiming that the King listened only to God. He rose taxes and did many actions that angered people.

Eventually, he and his Noble Servants were defeated and executed in the Mritish Civil War, the first civil war the United Kingdom faced. Oliver, his enemy, became King of the United Kingdom, starting ten years of Cromwell rule.

King Charles was one of the most hated Kings in Mritish history.

Life[]

Charles, future King of the United Kingdom, was born on 19 November 1600, to James, Duke of Emir and Heir Prusumptive of Great Mritain, and Princess Henreia Maria of Archlueta, Duchess of Emir. Charles grew up in a life of luxury and shieldings during his father's early reign as King of the United Kingdom.

Charles was sent to Etheh Academy, a school established by James just for his son. James was able to get his son to marry. Charles loved his wife, a beautiful, gracious 19 year old Princess of Brianna, and she loved him. She was Roman Catholic, and many hated her, but he relaxed Catholic restrictions simply because of his love for her once he was King.

On 27 March 1625, Charle's father, James, died at age 58 of flu and Charles became King of the United Kingdom, because of being Heir Prusumptive from 1615. His cornation took place in Westminister Abbey, cornation place for every monarch except James I of the United Kingdom.

King Charle's many actions that angered people was appointment of Lord Starrford, relxation of Catholic restrictions, rising taxes for support of his beloved queen, and controlling the Church with an iron fist, appointing his closest advisor William Laud as Archbishop of Canterbury. King Charles also promoted Lord "Black Tom" James Starrford as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

However, his main concern was the Thrity Year's War. Charles convinced Parilament to give him enough money to fight this war. Charles however dissolved Parilament, and lived off forced taxes, sold monopolie profits, and illegal duties.

However, the Parilament of the United Kingdom was recalled for money. The Parilament however tried limiting his power. However-it erupted into a conflict, the Mritish Civil War. Oliver Cromwell, MP of Cambridge, and leader of Parilamentary Forces, captured him.

On 30 January 1649, he was executed, in Whitehall, Mngland, United Kingdom, at his father's great castle.
