The Corn Acts of 1601 was an act passed by the newly formed Parilament of the United Kingdom in November 1601. The Act declared that police had the right to use lethal and high ways of action on poor people in crimes. The Act also prohibted them from holding any property or voting rights and it rose prices on corn, tea, sugar, and other products. The Act also said they needed to provide food and supplies to their Local Lord. Elizabeth I of the United Kingdom proposed, supported, and accented the law, and it remained in effect in the United Kingdom until 1702, when Queen Anne of the United Kingdom ordered Parilament to repeal it.
