Denver is a colonial port and island of the Holy Germanian Empire. In 1879, Britain and Portgual had tooken the islands of Hong Kong and Maccau. Denver, a port on an island one mile from Hobit, was about to fall into British, Portguese, or Hobitan hands. So Germania landed in the island, annexed it, and began building a base and city there.
