John Thomas Brimm (born February 27, 1967) is a voice actor who is best known for voicing Johnny Calar in the 1980s partially-animated series Calar and Fatjohn in Fatjohn Adventures.
Early Life
John Brimm was born in the American state of Tennessee to Evelynn and Matthew Brimm. He played football during his sophomore, junior, and senior year in high school.
Career
Brimm began voice acting in 1983, voicing Johnny Calar on the show Calar, a role which he played from 1983 to 1986. He voiced Cyborg C5506 in the movie Robots Invade McCook County in 1988. He has also guest starred in Great Hill Folks in 1995 and in The Texas Wilsons in 1999.
Fatjohn Adventures
In 2004, Brimm was cast to play Fatjohn Orange in Fatjohn Adventures after it was confirmed that John Orange would not reprise the role after Fatjohn ended in the mid-1990s. He reunited with his Calar co-star Jordson Hayes for this project. Like Orange had opened every episode of Fatjohn, Brimm opened every installment of Fatjohn Adventures.
Personal Life
Brimm likes to fish and golf in his free time. He also likes horseback riding.
Family
Brimm is happily married to Gretchen Vaillo, his wife since 1989. He and his wife have three children, Paul, 15, and Jacob, 12. Brimm has five nieces and two nephews.
