John Hyll Pierce (born May 28, 1962) is an American-born voice actor known for his roles as Bruce Mavern in Four Crazy Young Men and as various characters in Fatjohn Adventures.

Early lifeEdit

Pierce was born in the United States in May of 1962 to Jacqueline "Jackie" and Jordson Pierce. He grew up on the shore of a river, and he loved to fish as a child. He also grew up listening to country musicians Harry Joe Morris, Robert Hayburger, John Goodbetter, and John Mulanco.


Pierce was cast as Bruce Mavern in Four Crazy Young Men in 1994, and played that role from 1994 to 1999. He also voiced "Auchaar" in a 2004 episode of Allover.

Fatjohn AdventuresEdit

In late 2004, Pierce joined the cast of Fatjohn Adventures. He has voiced many characters, including Reynnie Sheldon Wyte, Kevin Matzlein, John Belchwood, Jack the Car Salesman (replacing Jord Small), Hugh Zinz II, and Paul Kranz.

Recent workEdit

Pierce began voice work on the animated sitcom Mark Jordson's Bad Luck in 2011. His characters on that show include the mayor and the high school principal.

Personal lifeEdit

Pierce is happily married to Janet Franno, his wife of about twenty-six years. They have two sons, Jack (born in 1988) and Robert (born in 1992). He likes to spend his spare time at his Florida vacation home.
