John Littleton Kuniz (born April 13, 1962) is an American-born actor best known for his roles as Erik Ryder in the 1970s/1980s sitcom Cool Kids from the City and as Matthew Kelford in the sitcom The Jordsons. He is the older brother of Jimmy Kuniz.
Biography[]
Kuniz was born on April 13, 1962, to Edith and Brad Kuniz. He comes from a family of performers and is related to silent film star Theodore Kuniz.
Career[]
Kuniz made his acting debut in 1978, in the film Matt Bearney's Son. He only appeared in two scenes in the film, and was not credited.
Cool Kids from the City[]
In 1979, Kuniz was cast as Erik Ryder in the sitcom Cool Kids from the City. He played the role of Erik from 1979 to 1986. He and George Weekham auditioned for the role, and Kuniz won. According to show creator Drew Billens, Kuniz gave one of the best performances of the cast.
