"Welcome to Maucchia"

Maucchia is a town located in Lexynton County in the state of Lohana. Its population in 2015 was just 825.

Maucchia is sometimes confused with the larger city of Macchia located in Ardwin County, due to the similar spelling.


The town's name, according to the town website, is officially pronounced "MAW-kee-uh". Some locals pronounce it "MAW-kyuh".


Maucchia was founded in 1912. It was named for Mount Maucchia in ancient Whilopia. Maucchia was incorporated as a town in 1947.

In 2004, Maucchia experienced some flooding during a series of storms that passed through parts of the state.


The town of Maucchia is served by the Maucchia School System.
