Schelwig-Holstein is an province of the Kingdom of Prussia (Holy Germania). Orginally part of Denmark Colony, the Kingdom of Prussia annexed the region in two stages, in 1864 and 1866. Today, Danish is the offical language of the region, which has a special adminstrative body of Danish speaking people.
