Stoudart began his career in 2000 with a small role as 10-year-old Joshua Trentley in an episode of Trouble in Aikenville. His first major role came two years later, when he was cast as Gabe Natcher in the film I Hope They Didn't, for which he was nominated for an award for "Best Young Actor". According to some sources, Stoudart auditioned for the role of "Jerry Ceshlack" in the 2003 film Runnin' from Prescaderna; the character's name was changed to Rufus and the role was given to Mark Allaton instead. Stoudart took a few years off from acting to focus on school, and returned to acting in the mid-2000s, when he won the role of high-school student and star football quarterback Benito Escuyo in the film Cayenne High; he reprised his role in the 2008 and 2010 sequels. He later reunited with co-star Nathan Oppellos when both played brothers in the 2009 film Walt & Chester. He also reunited with another Cayenne High co-star, Charles Craig McWherter, in the 2012 film My Old Mentor.

In August 2013, it was rumored that Stoudart will star in an upcoming documentary as 23-year-old convicted criminal Augustus T. Alkarron. The rumors were not confirmed.
