Sims Big Brother (SRN series) is based off the world-wide television show, Big Brother created with The Sims 2. Each episode is uploaded on Youtube. It's about 10 - 18 sims, known as houseguests, living in a house that is like no other. They're being watched and heard 24/7 by cameras and microphones everywhere. These houseguests cannot interact with the outside world. Every week, one will leave. At the end, the winner, the one who avoids being evicted, will receive the grand prize. The first Three (3) seasons are based off the American version. However, in Sims Big Brother 4 the rules changed into a mix of the American and the International version (U.K, AU, etc.).

Main Series

Format

Usually on the night the houseguests enter the house, they compete in their first Head of Household Competition. The winner nominates 2 of his follow houseguests for eviction. The houseguests vote to evict one of the nominees and the person who receives the most votes will leave the house. Near the end of the First Season, the veto was introduced. The person who wins the veto can remove ONE of the nominees from the block and the Head of Household is forced to make a replacement. The nominee that was removed from the block cannot be replaced nor can the veto winner. In the end, the Jury (The evicted houseguests) vote between the Final 2 on who wins. In the season 4, the rules have change to a USA and International mix. The Head of Household nominates 2 people for eviction. The Power of Veto was removed, so houseguests can no longer save themselves from nominations. Instead the houseguests voting, the public will choose who stays and who goes. In the end, it's up to the public to decide the winner.

Premiere

On the premiere, the houseguests enter the house and meet each other for the first time. Usually, the first Head of Household is crowned on the premiere except for Season 2 and 4 (for House 2). On Season 2, the first twist forced all the houseguests to vote to evict, which lead to no Head of Household the first week. On Season 4, only one Head of Household was crowned. The second Head of Household was crowned on the second episode. Also, the first week's Nominations are made by the end, Only in Season 2 and 4 is when they didn't happen. Again on Season 2, the twist led to no Head of Household, which meant no Nominations. On Season 4, both House 1's and House 2's Nominations didn't occur until Episode 2.

Nominations

On the Nomination Episodes, it starts off with the reactions to the Eviction. Then the Head of Household checks out his new Head Of Household room except in Season 6 where there was no Head Of Household room at all. The house then competes in the weekly task (which started in Season 5. Season 2 had only a few.) Then usually strategy is shown to let the viewers know where the houseguests stand. In Season 6 only, a meeting would occur before the nominations to pick the Underprivileged houseguests. Then at the end, the Head Of Household nominates two people.

Evictions

On the Eviction Episodes, it starts off with the reactions to the Nominations. Events like fights, romance, strategy, etc might occur. Then it's time for the Eviction. Starting in Season 5, After a houseguest is evicted, he/she is interviewed by the host, Michael Goldsmith. Only in Season 5 were their Best Bits were shown. Season 6 cut that out. After the houseguests compete for Head of Household and the winner will decide who is nominated in the Nomination Episodes.

Fast-Forward Evictions

Fast-Forward Eviction Episodes are very different from a regular Eviction Episode. First, we jump into the first eviction right away. Second, after the Head Of Household competition, the Head of Household will nominate on the spot and another houseguest is evicted on the same night. This was replaced with Back-to-Back Eviction in Season 6.

Back-to-Back Eviction

Back-to-Back Evictions are a replacement of Fast-Forward Evictions. Due to controversy after a fan-favourite was voted out by a non-public eviction vote in Season 5, SRN had to modify the rules to make it more fair for the public. On the night that the Head of Household is crowned, they immediately nominate 3 houseguests for eviction. Next episode, the two houseguests who receive the highest votes are voted out back-to-back, with no competitions or ceremonies in between.

Final Three Episode

Final Three Episodes start off with the continuation of Part one of the Final Head Of Household competition. The two losers compete in Part Two and then the winners of both will compete in Part Three. The winner of Part Three then decide which other to bring with them to the Final 2. The other person is evicted.

Finale

It starts off with the reaction of the Final Two or Three. They celebrate by having dinner and champagne and talk about what they'll do with the money. All of the evicted houseguests return to the house for the big wrap party but firstly, the winner is announced. It then proceeds to the wrap party. At the very end, they all leave the house at once and the lights go out.

Facts

  • This version was the first to display nominations on the television screen which is widely used by other series today.
  • Sims Reality Network was the first to use Head Of Household to nominate the two houseguests and Public Voting to vote one of them out. Although, the Brazilian version has something similar, where the Head of Household nominates one houseguest and the houseguests nominates another via the Diary Room, to which the public then votes one of them out.
  • The Season Four house had to be re-built twice due to complicated errors.
  • Sims Reality Network had no real fans until Sims Big Brother 3.
  • Sims Reality Network's highest viewed video has nothing to do with Sims Big Brother.
