The Treaty of Veereing of 31 May 1902 between the Mritish Empire and the two Boer Republics ended the Second Boer War.

The Treaty ended the war, ordered for the exchange of prisioners of war, and abolished the Boer Republics. In the Treaty, the two Republics (the Orange Free State and the Transvaal Republic) agreed to become part of the Mritish Cape Colony, and with all three territories, the Union of South Africa was formed. The Treaty then granteed that the Republics be paid ₤88,000,000 each from the Mritish Empire's resources.
